Who We Are - Separated Unto the Gospel

But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. Phil 1:17

The Free Presbyterian Church is a growing Presbyterian Denomination, which is serving the Lord throughout the world in such countries as England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Australia, Canada and the United States. We are a Protestant, Bible-believing church, Presbyterian in doctrine and worship. Our motto is that of the Reformers: "The Scriptures Only." Believing the Bible to be the verbally inspired and infallible Word of God, we hold it to be the final authority for all our belief and practice. We acknowledge the Bible's revelation of God as One Who is absolutely sovereign, preaching that "salvation is of the Lord." (Jonah 2:9)

We adhere to the exposition of Scriptural doctrine set forth in the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Articles of Faith of the Free Presbyterian Church of North America.

Since God's people are to be "separated unto the Gospel" (Romans 1:1), we are free from all association with liberalism and ecumenism. To be precise, we have no affiliation with the World Council of Churches, the National Council of Churches, the National Association of Evangelicals, or the Charismatic movement. It is only as the Lord's people are free from entanglement with theological compromise that they are at liberty to proclaim the whole counsel of God.

We do not accept the modern trend of entertainment-like worship services, but rather sing the Psalms and hymns. And we seek to maintain the biblical and historic Protestant position of making the faithful preaching of Christ the center part of worship.
